Sapphire

Apart from the popular blue sapphires - fancy sapphires come in violet, green, yellow, orange, pink, purple and everything inbetween.  Some stones exhibit the phenomenon

known as colour change, most often going from blue in daylight to purple under incandescent light. Sapphires can even be gray, black or brown. Blue Sapphires can be vivid and saturated like they have been lit from within.
